CPCAB CYP L5 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People

Pre Course Requirements:

CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (TC-L4) or the Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) equivalent (minimum 420 Guided Learning Hours), in addition to appropriate pre-TC-L4 (or equivalent) training. 

This qualification is designed to give you the knowledge, skills and competencies to work as counsellor with children and young people aged 11-18

The qualification includes training on how to:

»    Work safely, legally and ethically with children and young people.

»    Tailor the therapeutic work to meet the age, development stage and ability of the child or young person.

»    Use theory, research and skills to work effectively with children and young people.

»    Work collaboratively, creatively and flexibly with children and young people.
